A Little About Me

When I discovered bamboo clothing, I was immediately intrigued. My curiosity was piqued and I ended up being catapulted down a path of shock, awareness and excitement.

I have to be honest. Although I have become more environmentally friendly, I really hadn't considered my clothing. Worse yet, I never thought about the chemical process involved to produce my wardrobe. I just took my clothes for granted and bought the styles I liked.

Plain and simple.

After becoming aware of the toxins used in fashion and textiles, I was shocked. Worse yet was the agony of knowing that I had bundled up my children in chemicals like formaldehyde, dioxin, pesticides and fertilizers.

My new-found knowledge has ignited a passion.

I'm not the fashion police. I'm not out to prove whether any producers or manufacturers are 100% organic or not. That is far beyond the scope of time, energy and resources that I am capable of. But, I do urge everyone to read labels and ask questions of their favorite designer or manufacturer.

My intent is to be a better person today than I was yesterday. I will become even more eco-conscious and I'll strive to have a fully green wardrobe.

My goal is to pass on my information to you so that you can make wise, knowledgeable choices for yourself and your loved ones.

My mission is to have enough of an impact on people, that it raises their awareness and instigates positive change globally for the sake of humanity and our environment.

There's no denying that chemical overuse severely compromises our individual health. There's also no denying that widespread use of toxins have severely damaged the delicate balance of our planet, which is now at a critical stage.

We, as consumers, hold the power of a positive global effect right here in the palm of our hands. We just have to raise our standards, stand behind our values and demand that industry does the same. Only then will we see mainstream organic clothing replace the toxic wardrobes currently covering our bodies and invading our homes.

I know that not everyone is going to do a 180 degree turn and switch immediately to everything organic. But if everyone takes baby steps and implements organic lifestyle changes bit by bit, we will inevitably have a profoundly positive effect on our health and our environment.

That's all I ask. That's all my children and great-great grandchildren ask. --- What about yours?
